"The Poor Farmer" is the tenth episode of the fourth season of The Beverly Hillbillies. The series made its debut on Nickelodeon's Nick at Nite block at 9:00 p.m. that night, making this the fourth broadcast and oldest recording of The Beverly Hillbillies from Nick at Nite. The show continued to run on Nick at Nite until August 9, 2002. I'm not sure how well it did on the block, but seeing as it only ran for about two and a half years it probably didn't do all that well.

I don't know a ton about The Beverly Hillbillies aside from the fact that it's been syndicated to death since debuting in the '60s. In the United States, it has reran on Nick at Nite, TBS Superstation, TV Land, Hallmark, Superstation WGN and is currently running on MeTV stations. Certain older episodes of the show are in the public domain now, allowing them to run on low-power stations broadcasting networks such as RTV (previously known as RTN) and The Family Channel (not to be confused with CBN's The Family Channel).

Embedded are some commercials that aired alongside this broadcast promoting the "Beverly Hillbillies Strike It Rich! marathon" that ran until January 28, 2000. On January 31, the series began airing weeknights at 9:30 p.m.
